About StillMovingArt

Images That Won't Stand Still

I've been making peaceful, abstract animations for years.

Ever-changing, non-repeating pictures.

With the help of some brilliant Ambient musicians, these have become "little islands of peace".

Chance Stills

Some of the passing, transitional images in my moving art, were too good to let go!

So I made stills of them, put them on our photo frame for my family to enjoy.

Later I started selling printable versions on Etsy.

Then prints.

Having a Niche - and a Re-think

It struck me that my still images would be more relaxing in a wide, horizontal format.

So I have specialised in 3:1 (usually 36x12 inches) designs.

The video-stills didn't work so well at that size, so I began creating designs for that format.

I make my wall art to soothe, or to gently lure the eyes into a little play (which is why I make lines and shapes that wander, change, play hide-and-seek).

I like to invite your mind into a little peaceful space.

Back To Screens?

When large TV screens are off, all that wall space goes to waste. Why not put art on it?

Now that Samsung has established The Frame as a dynamic art display (and TV), I've been making designs for that situation, too.
